Big Monday is usually a good time when it involves Big East heavyweights. I’m intrigued to see if Syracuse can continue their offensive execution away from home in the Oakland Zoo. Pittsburgh needs to rebound from their meltdown in Louisville. Is Clemson about to do their typical conference swoon after a weak non-conference schedule? After losing to Wake, there’s no rest for the weary with a trip to UNC on Wednesday.
Purdue needs to start amassing Big Ten road wins for their tournament resume. Minnesota needs some more credibility. Thursday’s matchup will help someone.
Memphis is ranked, but they haven’t beaten anyone this year. Tennessee isn’t ranked, but they won’t be a home pushover on Saturday.
Connecticut hasn’t lost on the road this year, but Notre Dame hasn’t lost at home either. Something has to give Saturday night.
I’m intrigued with Saturday’s LSU vs. Xavier contest because both teams are a little further off the radar. A win for LSU could give them the confidence to make a nice SEC run.
