Changing My Tune

I was banging on Marquette at the beginning of the year, fully expecting them to display the same high end mediocrity that I'd witnessed over the last few seasons. However, after watching them win in South Bend on Monday, you can call me a believer. After splitting Thursday's games, I turn to the Golden Eagles -6.5 vs. Georgetown today. The Hoyas have been rather inept over the last few weeks, showing immaturity in the backcourt. Add in Dajuan Summers balky foot and I like Marquette to run away in this one.

The rest of Saturday's games pose an interesting challenge. None stands out as much as the Marquette endeavor, but we're not in the business of putting a different amount of units on each game. I like Stanford +10.5 @ UCLA and I'm definitely leaning towards this game because of California's missed opportunity on Thursday night. I'm also going to take Miami +0 @ Maryland. The Terrapins are a team in turmoil right now and I'm still a believer in the Hurricanes.

Mr. T's basketball fund started with an imaginary $200 and puts $5 of action on every game he picks.
